Dayton's Favorite Coffeehouse
Established in November of 2011, Ghostlight Coffee is widely regarded as one of Dayton's favorite independent coffee shops. Voted Dayton’s Favorite Coffehouse three years in a row by both the readers of Dayton.com and Dayton Magazine, we believe that the quality of your coffee should be outmatched only by the quality of the company you drink it with.
We’re bringing high-quality, craft coffee and baked goods to the neighborhood coffeehouse scene; we don’t just want to know your order, we want to know you.
Our Coffee
Ghostlight Coffee is proud to be a multi-roaster shop, serving thoughtfully-sourced and selectively-chosen coffee from some of the finest roasters across the country. We have worked with Cincinnati's Deeper Roots Coffee as our primary roaster for over seven years. We found a close bond with the Deeper Roots team over shared values of community and ethically-sourced, high-quality coffee. DRC has a deep connection to the coffee they create, working closely with the farmers that grow the beans to the baristas that serve them.
Deeper Roots roasts our house blends (Signature "Ghostlight" dark roast blend and "Gem City" light roast blend) exclusively for sale in our shop in addition to a rotating selection of seasonal blends and single-origin coffees.
We also host a monthly featured coffee roaster, which we brew to order by the cup in a Chemex on our Curtis Gold Cup coffee brewer. Some of the amazing coffee roasters that we have had the honor to feature include Onyx Coffee Lab, Brandywine Coffee Roasters, Pettibone Coffee, Blueprint Coffee, and many others.
Our Bakery
Our baked goods are handmade for each cup! We are a coffeehouse and bakery, with two amazing bakers putting love and creativity into every item. Our bakers are known for inventing new & flavorful goods like muffins, bagels, scones, breakfast sandwiches, cookies, biscotti and more each day. We take dietary needs very seriously, whether you are vegan, or have food allergies we try to have options available. Our bakers take cross-contamination into consideration and use great care to eliminate it.
We are also thrilled to team up with Tina's Sweet Treats, a gluten-free bakery to provide gf options for our customers with gluten allergies and intolerance.
